I am 29 years old and currently reside in Livermore California. I am a graduate of Chico State where I majored in Finance. I've spent most of my career in Silicon Valley working for companies that ran the gambit from billion dollar multinationals to Series A start up. I've explored a variety of business areas including supply chain, financial risk assessment, and sales.
I have enjoyed reading for as long as I can remember. I fondly recall my fifth grade teacher being a little shocked when she noticed that I was carrying around Interview With a Vampire. I enjoy both fiction, because it provides valuable insights into the human condition regardless of setting, and non-fiction as a way to expand my knowledge of the world around me. I currently have Su Tzu's The Art of War and Leslie H. Gelb's Power Rules: How Common Sense Can Rescue American Foreign Policy on my nightstand.
I grew up very liberal. My time in college, specifically my study of finance and economics shifted my perspective to the right on economic issues. Now I consider myself a pragmatic radical centrist as I draw on policy from both the left and the right in an effort to find the best solution for a given issue. The country and congress have become increasingly divided which has left important challenges that must be faced ignored. Compromise and a more general move toward the center are greatly needed as divided we will fail while united we thrive.
I made the decision to enter politics when I was 23. Since coming of age I have made forrays into the field. I had planned a run in 2018, but at the urging of acquaintances I entered the race this year as it will be a very pivotal election. Gaining the support of a major party also guided my decision.
